As we know, the treatment of patients with periodontal problems is often challenging even for an experienced dentist, and the situation is more challenging when we are dealing with peri-implant diseases. Some adjunctive agents and treatment concepts have been selected as the topic of the coming Scandinavian Society of Periodontology (ScSP) meeting. The well-known keynote speakers will weigh the evidence that has been presented in the current literature on these treatment modalities, targeting to give support to our decision-making in clinical setting.
In addition, your abstracts, covering all fields in periodontology/implantology, are highly welcome. There will be a poster exhibition, while some of the abstracts will end up to oral presentations of young investigators. The best presentation of each category will be awarded.
At this time, the meeting will be organized together with the Division of Periodontology of the Finnish Dental Society Apollonia. The reason for this is to celebrate their 50-year anniversary in 2010.
The location of the meeting is Turku, also known as Åbo in Swedish and as Aboa in Latin. Turku, which is located in front of a fabulous archipelago in the south-western corner of the country and where the river Aurajoki flows through the heart of the city, is the old capital and center of urban and academic life in Finland.
I'm pleased to invite you to join the meeting in September 2-4, 2010. You are warmly welcome!
