Turku is easy to reach by air via Helsinki , Stockholm or Copenhagen , or for example by a ferry from Stockholm through one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world! If you fly to Helsinki , there is a regular express bus connection from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport to Turku (trip takes about 2,5 hours).

Local transportation
From Turku airport or ferry harbor to city centre
Local bus number 1, route: Airport - Market Place - Ferry Harbour, runs approximately every 20-30 minutes. Bus tickets can be bought from the driver, single ticket 2 € (3 € after 23 pm), valid for 2 hours.
From the main railway station or bus station to Market Place
Both the bus station and main railway station are within a walking distance from the city centre. If you wish to take a bus from the railway station, all local buses stopping across the street from the railway station go to the Market Place. From the main bus station, most buses stopping in front of the station (on the same side of the street) go to the Market Place.

Taxis are generally easy to get, there are several taxi stands in the city centre, one on the Market Place. For a 5 km trip you may expect the fare to be around 10 euros, 10 km 15 euros (e.g. distance: Airport – City centre 9 km). After 8 p.m. a small additional charge.
