Website of NSDS 2017 Stockholm

Dear colleagues,

We welcome you all to the Nordic Spinal Deformity Meeting 2016 which will be held in the South-western part of Finland, in Turku area, at Naantali Spa & Congress Hotel. We are happy to organise the NSDS meeting in Finland. The annual meeting will take place on 25-27 August 2016.

This year we have put extra effort to make the NSDS meeting both professionally top level and interesting to all medical professionals by inviting the world's best lecturers (Lenke, Marks, Stücker) to speak on the various important topics. We will also give an opportunity to short free paper presentations by young researchers to tell about their new studies. The Alf Nachemson memorial lecture will also take place.

The meeting will take place in Naantali, neighbouring town of Turku, with good connections from Turku airport, harbour and railway station. Naantali is a small town on the archipelago, famous for its music festivals and small handicraft shops.

The Programme Committee has chosen the main topics of this NSDS meeting to be Severe Paediatric Spinal Deformities, Evidence-based Treatment of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis, Revision Adult Spine Deformity Surgery and Spine in Syndromes. We will have special workshops on Saturday for Preparing the patient for spine surgery and How to manage the sterility in operation theatre.

We invite you all to submit abstracts for the meeting, and we will do our best to include as many of your contributions as possible.

We welcome you all to Naantali, Finland, and look forward to a memorable annual meeting!
