Accommodation

Congress Office has negotiated favourable room prices and reserved rooms for the NMSS2009 participants in six city centre hotels in Turku. Please mark your hotel reservation on the registration form (available from February 2009). Your reservation will be confirmed together with your participation.

Cumulus Turku

Eerikinkatu 30, 20100 Turku

Cumulus Turku is a friendly, service-minded city centre hotel, located adjacent to the Hotel Holiday Inn. The hotel has a total of 108 comfortable rooms, a cosy lobby and a bright and spacious breakfast restaurant. Customers also have two saunas and a covered car park at their disposal.

Reservation conditions:
Reserved room will be held until 6 pm on the day of arrival. The hotel is entitled to give the room to another guest after 6 pm. If you plan to arrive after 6 pm kindly fax your credit card information to the Congress Office to ensure that the room will be held until your arrival. You can fax the information using the authorization form. Note that the hotel will charge your card only in case of late cancellation or no-show.
Room cancellation:
A reserved room may be cancelled free of charge by 6 pm the day before arrival. The hotel has the right to charge the guest for cancellations made after 6 pm the day before arrival or no-shows.

Holiday Inn Turku

The Holiday Inn Turku is well located, only a few blocks away from the Market Square. Cosy interiors, international-class comfort and excellent service ensure a pleasant stay. The Holiday Inn Turku has 199 peaceful quality rooms, Finnish Sauna and a swimming pool. Brasserie Armada is described as a classy and cosy restaurant for delicious dining, meetings and socialising, and the Bar Hemingway’s as a cheerful place for get-togethers. Facilities include a business centre and a covered car park.

Radisson SAS Marina Palace Hotel

The Radisson SAS Marina Palace Hotel is located right on the banks of the Aura River, in the heart of the city. The hotel was opened in 2006 after a total renovation. The hotel has 184 stylish rooms. Facilities include wireless and high-speed Internet access throughout the hotel, saunas, and fully equipped gym and beauty saloon. The street-level restaurant Aurora offers Italian delicacies. The elegant library room and lobby bar are ideal to relax in with a drink.

Scandic Hotel Plaza

Scandic Plaza is located in the centre of Turku, on a pedestrian street, close to the Market Square. The stylish hotel has been carefully refurbished in the spirit of early functionalism but with a clear eye to the needs of today's travellers. The hotel restaurant Bryggman's, serves both Finnish delicacies and international specialities. Facilities include gym and sauna.

Room reservation and cancellation:
A reserved room may be cancelled free of charge before 8 August 2009.
After that, following cancellation charges are applied.
Cancellation between 8 August – 22 August: 50 % of the total value of the reservation will be charged.
Cancellation between 22 August – 26 August: 100 % of the total value of the reservation will be charged.

Sokos Hotel Seurahuone
