It is a great pleasure to invite you on behalf of
the Finnish Neuropsychological Society (FNS) to attend the 8th Nordic
Meeting in Neuropsychology in Turku, Finland on August 26-29, 2004.
The Nordic Meetings have in two decades become a well-established
tradition with a few hundred participants, some also from outside
Scandinavia.
Our intention has been to organise a Meeting with
a most challenging and versatile scientific program. The Meeting
provides a unique opportunity for neuropsychologists to be acquainted
with up-to-date knowledge shared by renown Nordic and international
experts.
The FNS celebrates its quarter of a century anniversary in 2004.
The Society was founded to act as a link between clinical neuropsychologists
in Finland and to encourage international co-operation in the field
of neuropsychology. Today, neuropsychology has established an eminent
position both in clinical settings and scientific research in Finland.
Turku is the oldest University city and the former
capital of Finland. An airport, several daily passenger ferries
from Stockholm and excellent connections to and from Helsinki make
Turku easy to reach. The venue of the Meeting is the Congress and
Spa Hotel Caribia, which is located about 1,5 km from the centre
of Turku. Along with modern congress facilities it offers an enjoyable
setting also for your family members. The hotel is built around
a spa with a Caribbean atmosphere and the Finnish sauna culture.
Our social program offers you an opportunity to enjoy the cultural
heritage and scenic beauty of the Turku area.
Looking forward to seeing you in Turku in August 2004!
Taina Nybo
President of the Finnish Neuropsychological Society
The meeting is hosted by the Finnish Neuropsychological
Society.
