Professor Peter Dahler-Larsen
Syddansk Universitet, Odense, Denmark
Peter Dahler-Larsen, PhD, is professor of evaluation at the Department of Political Science and Public Management, University of Southern Denmark, Odense. His research concerns cultural, institutional, and societal aspects of evaluation. He is especially interested in why contemporary society hosts a wave of evaluations, and what difference evaluations make in both formal and informal aspects of life.
His recent publications include articles in "Evaluation", contributions to "The Sage Handbook of Evaluation" (Sage 2005), "The Oxford Handbook of Public Management" (Oxford University Press 2005) and "Open to the Public - Evaluation in the Public Arena" (Transaction 2007) as well as books in Danish, such as "Den Rituelle Reflektion - om evaluering i organisationer" (Syddansk Universitetsforlag), "Magt og Evaluering" (Den Danske Magtudredning), and "Evalueringskultur - et begreb bliver til" (Syddansk Universitetsforlag). He is the president of European Evaluation Society and coordinator of the Master Program in Evaluation at University of Southern Denmark.
