All congress participants are warmly welcome to join a Get-together party/City Reception on Thursday evening at the Turku City Hall. The reception is hosted by the City of Turku.
Light buffet dinner will be served.

Please note that the reception is free of charge, but pre-registration is required.

Boat trip on board m/s Lily through the unique Turku archipelago to the island of Pikku-Pukki where the dinner will take place in the beautiful Lace Pavilion. The Lace Pavilion of Pikku-Pukki Island started serving as a restaurant already in 1889, and it was the base for the Airisto Segelsällskapet (ASS) yacht club over 100 years.

WALKING TOUR OF THE OLD GREAT SQUARE
Thursday, 22 August at 10.00
Guide will meet the participants at the lobby of the hotel Radisson Blu Marina Palace at 10.00 (duration: tour 2 hours & lunch)

During this tour you will learn about the interesting and eventful history of the areas surrounding the Old Great Square and Turku Cathedral. You’ll see where the Christmas peace, broadcast to the whole of Finland, is declared from each year, as well as find out what Swedish statesman Pietari Brahe looked like. During the tour you will also get a chance
to investigate Turku Cathedral.
After the tour the participants are invited to enjoy lunch at the restaurant Teini by the Old great Square.

THE OLD TOWN AND KULTARANTA GARDENS

Departure by bus from the hotel Radisson Blu Marina at 8.30, return to the hotel at 13.30

Join an interesting guided walking tour in the charming Old Town of the nearby town Naantali and visit the magnificent Kultaranta Baroque Gardens. Kultaranta is the summer residence of the President of Finland and well known for its gardens. The excursion includes lunch in Naantali’s idyllic Marina.

(includes bus transportation, guided tours in Kultaranta and in the Old Town of Naantali and lunch at the restaurant Uusi Kilta)
