Turku - the congress city
Turku, in the Southwest corner of Finland, is the oldest city in Finland and the first capital of the country. Today it is the capital of its region, the Southwest Finland. Please visit the Turku tourist office Turku Touring website for more information and for things to do and see if you are extending your stay. For participants travelling with families we recommend for example a visit to Flowpark, or Moominworld in the nearby holiday town Naantali.

Travelling to Turku
Turku is easy to reach by air via Helsinki (Finnair), via Stockholm or Copenhagen (SAS), or via Riga (airBaltic).
The Turku airport is only 8 km from the city centre. There is a regular bus connection (bus no. 1) from the airport to city centre about every 30 minutes (closest bus stop just across the street from the congress hotel).

If you fly to Helsinki, from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport, there is a shuttle bus to Turku (2.5 hours, departures every hour).

If you are travelling through Stockholm, you may choose to travel to Turku on a ferry through one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world. Daily connections between Stockholm and Turku are operated by Silja Line and Viking Line.

Museum discounts
The City of Turku offers the participants of the EPA & SSPD meeting a museum visit in Turku at a discount of 25%. At the congress venue you will receive a code that is valid in the following museums:
