Guidelines for presenters

Poster presentations

The poster session will be held on Tuesday, 23 June, at 12.30–14.30. The size of the poster board is 88 cm (width) x 118 cm (height). The posters can be put on display already on Sunday during the Get-together Party/ Registration. Pins will be provided at the poster area. Your poster number will be printed in the abstract book, which you will receive upon your arrival.

Oral presentations

The lecture halls have up-to-date audiovisual equipment. We recommend that you prepare a PowerPoint presentation, preferably PC Windows 2003 version or earlier. Also overhead projectors are available. Please let us know if you have any special requirements regarding the AV equipment (congress@utu.fi). To avoid any technical difficulties, we do not recommend using your own laptops.

Please note that the times allocated for presentations (including discussion) are:
Keynote lectures 35 min
Invited lectures 25 min
Oral presentations 15 minutes

Downloading your presentation

AV assistants will be available in the lecture halls during the coffee and lunch breaks and ready to assist you to down load your presentation in the lecture hall computer.

If you wish to send your presentation already in advance, please send it as an email attachment to Congress Office congress@utu.fi, latest by Tuesday, 16 June.

 

Preparation of manuscripts

Please read the following instructions regarding the manuscript:

We kindly ask all the authors, who have received an abstract acceptance letter to send a conference paper manuscript to Dr Eila Järvenpää (e-mail: eggmeat2009@utu.fi). Both oral and poster presenters have an equal opportunity to write a full paper (maximum length 8 pages). The detailed instructions for the preparation of the manuscript are attached to this message.

Manuscripts will be further formulated to conference papers and the conference publication CD will be delivered to all participants during the conference.

Deadline for the submission of the manuscripts is Sunday 24.5.2009.


If the author does not send a manuscript of a conference paper, the accepted abstract will be added to the CD.
