We are happy to invite clinicians and scientists interested in traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) to an international symposium with most interesting topics and distinguished international speakers. The symposium is built around the EU-funded international project to improve the diagnostics and treatment decisions of TBI (the TBIcare project, www.tbicare.eu) and the international project in exploring genetic associations in TBI (Genetic Associations in Neurotrauma, the GAIN study). At the same time, this is the 1st Turku Traumatic Brain Injury Symposium organized by the new multidisciplinary clinical and research team taking a comprehensive care of all TBIs in the Hospital District of Southwest Finland, together with national and international collaborators.

We hope that you will experience a productive and stimulating symposium in the midwinter city of Turku, Finland.
